flipr was designed by users, for users. We strive to incorporate most of the feedback we receive… though we do have to prioritize (and unfortunately, the idea about a cocktail-dispensing flipr had to be dropped).

More sustainable pools
Chemicals, water, electricity: a clean pool is not the most eco-friendly setup. We try our best to reduce this impact by guiding users with environmentally-friendly actions and precise dosing recommendations.
flipr, inspired by real-life needs
2014 - The very beginning: Paul’s story.
In 2014, Paul installed a pool and quickly realised that owning one could bring more hassle than enjoyment. Determined to make a change, he set an ambitious yet straightforward goal: to create the best smart analyser on the market, one that could minimise environmental impact, cut energy consumption, and reduce the usage of chemicals.
2015 - The founding team: a union of expertise.
At the 2015 Startup Weekend in Perpignan, Paul joined forces with experts Sven and Florent, who shared his vision for a technology that would simplify pool maintenance. Together, they laid the foundation for what would become flipr.
2019 - The arrival of IOTA and Gaël: a new era for flipr.
In 2019, the team expanded with the addition of the investment fund IOTA and Gael, the current CEO. IOTA contributed to a €1 million capital increase, marking a new phase of growth for Flipr, strengthening the brand’s market presence and driving continued innovation.
2020 - Beyond the analyser, a complete and smart solution.
Building on the quality and success of its devices, flipr advanced rapidly thanks to a continuous research and development strategy led by a team of chemistry and environmental experts. In 2020, flipr introduced the flipr controlR, a smart device that manages pool equipment by leveraging data collected by the flipr analysR. Intelligence is driven by proprietary predictive algorithms developed by our experts.
2023 - A major technological shift.
In 2023, flipr made a major technological shift by transitioning from Sigfox technology to long-range Bluetooth 5. With the introduction of flipr Connect, included in version 3 of the flipr analysR, the company enhanced data collection, even in areas with limited or no Wifi coverage. This transition allowed flipr Connect to reach a range of 40 metres, which will soon extend to over 200 metres through a software update.
2024 : Global Expansion
In 2024, Flipr expanded internationally, opening the Australian and U.S. (Florida) markets, with the ultimate goal of becoming a global leader in pool maintenance. Now more than ever, Flipr is committed to bringing its technology and environmental focus to pool owners worldwide.
Designed and manufactured in France.
flipr is proudly designed and entirely manufactured in France, certified with the Made in France (MIF) label by the French customs. Our electronic components are crafted near Perpignan, while plastic injection takes place in Bourg-en-Bresse. Final assembly is carried out in Toulouse within a specialised establishment for work assistance (ESAT), reinforcing our commitment to quality, local expertise, and social responsibility.

French design and manufacturing
We take great pride in the fact that the flipr analysR is entirely manufactured in France. Plastics are produced in the Lyon area, electronics near our headquarters in Perpignan, and assembly is carried out in Toulouse by an amazing team of employees with disabilities. All other operations, including marketing and research and development, are managed from our Perpignan office.
