Explore our interactive map of real swimming pool water temperatures contributed by Flipr devices worldwide. Values are collected from actual sensors and refreshed once per day, so what you see reflects real conditions—not estimates.
How It Works
- Real readings: Temperatures come from connected Flipr analyzers measuring pool water directly.
- Daily update: The dataset is rebuilt every day to keep the map current.
- Lightweight display: We serve a cached GeoJSON for fast loading on desktop and mobile.
Your Privacy, Protected
For privacy reasons, each pool’s coordinates are randomly offset by a few hundred meters. In other words: the dot on the map is near the pool, not on the pool. No need to worry about the taxman (a.k.a. le fisc) turning up with a snorkel—locations are fuzzed, and the data is fully anonymized.
Reading the Map
- Zoom or pan to your region to see nearby readings.
- Click a marker to view the latest recorded temperature.
- Remember: positions are intentionally shifted for privacy and do not indicate exact addresses.
Notes & Limitations
- Some areas may show fewer readings depending on the number of participating devices.
- Outdoor conditions (sun, wind, cover use) can cause daily variation—our map reflects the latest daily snapshot.

All temperatures are provided “as is” from anonymized sensor data. Map markers are randomly displaced to protect privacy. Data refresh: once per day.
❗️Want to hide your pool from the map?If you prefer not to have your pool’s data displayed on the map (even in an anonymous form), simply add the word NOMAP to your pool’s name in the Flipr app. All readings linked to that pool will then be excluded from the public map during the next updates.
