Which equipment brands are compatible with Flipr ControlR?

All equipment brands are compatible with Flipr ControlR.

For pools with a "jumper" type motor block (see example below), Flipr ControlR can be installed between the current programmer and the motor block, provided there is a remote power block (e.g., managing the pump via a programmer outside the jumper motor block).

The controlled equipment must have the following specifications:

- 3HP maximum
- Maximum intensity 10A
- 220v

How is Flipr ControlR installed?

Flipr ControlR must be installed in your pool's technical room (minimum temperature 0°C – maximum 45°C). It should be mounted on a wall at a height using the provided mounting points, out of reach of children, and protected from rain, dust, and water splashes.

**For "jumper" type blocks:** Flipr ControlR should be installed near the remote power/control block, protected from rain, dust, and water splashes. The technical room must be covered by Wi-Fi.

**Connection to the equipment to be controlled:**

Flipr ControlR can connect to one piece of equipment. If you want to connect Flipr ControlR to two or more pieces of equipment, you will need one Flipr ControlR per piece of equipment to be connected.

Flipr ControlR is connected on one side to the electrical power supply (the electrical block must have a dedicated circuit breaker for the pool) and on the other side to the device to be connected (heat pump, filtration, or light). The device to be connected must have the following specifications (you can find this information in the technical documentation of your device or directly on your device):

- 240V AC (single-phase)

An installation manual and video will be provided to help you install your Flipr ControlR correctly and quickly.

I don't have Wi-Fi by the pool.

Flipr ControlR operates with your home Wi-Fi network.

Before ordering, you need to ensure that the network signal is strong enough in the technical room where Flipr ControlR will be installed. If you don't have Wi-Fi in the technical room, you can install a Wi-Fi repeater or a powerline adapter. We will be offering these for sale soon. In the meantime, you can find these devices at any electronics or hardware store.

Can Flipr ControlR be used on its own, without another Flipr device?

Absolutely! You don't need to have a Flipr AnalysR: Flipr ControlR can operate independently.

However, by connecting your ControlR to other Flipr devices, you will benefit from additional features, including the intelligent SmartControl programming.

Is there a subscription with Flipr ControlR?

Flipr ControlR works without a subscription. You have access to all features.

ONLY For users of the Flipr Start connected analyzer (sold until December 2021): please note that the SmartControl feature requires an active subscription on Flipr Start. If you have a Flipr Start Max or a Flipr AnalysR model 2 or model 3, no subscription is needed.

How many devices can be connected to Flipr ControlR?

One Flipr ControlR allows you to connect one device, which can be either the filtration pump, lighting, or heat pump.

If you want to connect two or more devices, you can purchase Flipr ControlR packs. The Flipr ControlRs can be assembled and are inter-connectable.
