Taxes
All prices displayed within the European Union (EU) include all applicable taxes (VAT included). Customers within the EU will not have to pay any additional taxes upon delivery.
For customers outside the EU, the European VAT is automatically deducted from the sale price. However, taxes and customs duties are not managed by Flipr. This means that any applicable import taxes, customs duties, or other fees may need to be paid upon delivery, according to the local regulations of the destination country. This shipping condition follows the DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) incoterm.
To help balance international pricing, Flipr partially contributes to shipping costs for non-EU destinations. This aims to bring the final international price closer to the European price.
Depending on agreements with our carriers, we may offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping. In such cases, all local taxes and customs duties are included in the final price, and the customer will not have to pay any additional charges upon delivery. When available, DDP shipping will be explicitly mentioned in the carrier's shipping description. In other cases, either DDU is specified, or no mention is made.
Understanding Shipping Incoterms
DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid)
DDU means that the seller is responsible for transporting the goods to the buyer’s country, but the buyer is responsible for paying any import duties, taxes, or fees upon arrival. The carrier may contact the buyer to collect these charges before delivery can be completed.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)
DDP means that the seller assumes full responsibility for all import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. The buyer will receive the package without any additional costs, as all necessary charges are prepaid by Flipr. If a shipping option includes DDP, this will be clearly indicated in the carrier’s description.
