Calibrating your Flipr

Calibrating your Flipr

Why calibrate Flipr?

As the warm weather approaches, the temptation to put your pool back in the water is strong: and you're right! As we explain in our article on restarting your pool, it's best not to wait too long, otherwise algae may develop (which would be a shame, especially if you've followed our advice for a successful winterization!)

Before returning the Flipr pool analyzer to the water, it may be useful to calibrate the probes. Aquatic probes have a natural tendency to drift, so they need to be re-educated from time to time!

This simple operation guarantees reliable, accurate measurements throughout the season. It's also an excellent way of ensuring longer probe life.

How do you calibrate your Flipr?

To perform a new calibration, follow these steps:
  1. Above all, carry out this operation when your pool is ready for the season (after wintering).
  2. Get a calibration kit. You'll find official Flipr calibration kits on our website.
  3. Once you have the calibration kit, remove the Flipr analyzer from the water.
  4. In the application, go to "Menu", then "Flipr Expert" and finally "New calibration".
  5. Click on "New Calibration"... and follow the steps!
  6. The calibration phase takes just under 7 minutes.
